Liquichek Serum Indices HIL Monitoring
Instrument Response Monitoring for HIL Interferences
Recommendations for running Liquichek Serum Indices:
- Treat this product the same as a patient specimen
- Use Sodium as the trigger assay per level for Serum Index (HIL) measurement(1)
- Run individual levels in the following order, HILN
- Non-interfered level may be used last to flush the probe
- Values include quantitative results and qualitative interpretations
Liquichek Serum Indices is not a stand-alone assay. Therefore, an inexpensive test method will need to be selected as the “trigger assay” to challenge the detection of the interferents within the automatic HIL detection module on the chemistry analyzer. Sodium is typically chosen because it is a commonly tested analyte and it is inexpensive to run. Sodium is not to be used for any daily QC determination.
Compatible with major chemistry instruments.
Liquichek Serum Indices is a product that monitors pre-analytical instrument detection of HIL specimen interferences. It is not intended for use in diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease.
Liquichek Serum Indices
Representative values are provided for HIL when testing is performed on the Siemens Dimension Vista® 500 using Sodium as the trigger assay per level for Serum Index (HIL) measurement. The actual observed values may vary depending upon lot number, analyzer or method.
